Do you use Glossy Accents (TM) for your creative scrapbooking project?

I’ve never seen this product until last night so I thought I’d write a little about it. A friend of mine was showing off her butterfly ‘cut-off’ which looks kind of a cute to me. I didn’t realize it at first but I can feel that the surface is smooth. When I tilted the ‘homemade embellishment’, I can see some dimension and glossiness to it.

She mentioned something about using Glossy Accent to create the effect. My face must look very confused that she decided to go to Amazon website to show me what she’s talking about. Ahhaa..  I think this is a useful item because I can use paper cutout and create a three dimensional item using this epoxy.

I’m not quite sure if I’m suppose to use it that way but the Amazon website said that “this product is a clear three-dimensional gloss medium that you can use to accent, brighten, dimensionalize and magnify distinct areas on any scrapbook page, album cover, rubber stamped image, paper craft or home decor project”.

It is supposed to be acid free and non-toxic and when it hardened it will give clear finish. You can also use it to stick lumpy stuffs using this product.

According to my friend, this stuff can help to protect your embellishment design. She cautioned me not to shake the bottle because it might create bubble. Depending on how thick you applied, it might take couples of minutes to dry .This sound fun to try!

If you want to use it to protect and glossify your embellishment, apply it on the top and let it hardened for a couple of minutes to dry. It is good that it will produce clear surface and since the applicator tip seems to be ‘pointed’ in shape, I believe that I can trace the shape that I want to protect or dimensionalize with some precision.

Out of curiosity, I search online and found that it cost around RM30 in Malaysia. I might try to look around in Penang. Hopefully, there are shops around here that carry this.

Anyway, if you want to purchase Glossy Accents from Amazon, you can use my link here. Let me know how you use this product. I could use few ideas to try them out myself.
