Where should you go to look for color inspiration?

If you ever need inspiration and ideas for your color theme, try to look around you. Chances are there are many colored object that you can use for your color theme idea.

1. Observe people clothing

Go out on the street and observe the color of people clothing. What is the color of their shirt, jacket, pants and hat? How are they matching them together? Depending on seasons, the color might be different also.

2. Grab ideas from flyers in your mailbox

Sometimes I receive many junk mails and flyers in my mail box. Though I don’t read them, I take cues from the colors and design of these papers. The placement of photos and text might also be useful if you are running out of ideas for your layout

3. Greeting cards are great for ideas

They are many good quality greeting cards out there and they are always available all year round with special design for special occasion.

Observe how they pair the color. How do they match the design with the text’s color and blend them together for harmony? All these should give you some ideas to start your own creative scrapbooking page.

These are just some ideas for you if you are looking for color inspiration. You can look for more by going through the magazines and books. Just look around….
