How do you organize ribbons that you use for your scrapbooking project?
I like ribbons and have bought many nice looking ones for my creative scrapbooking projects. Some of them can be purchased in small quantity from the craft shops but some were only available in spools. In this case, even if I only need some of it, I’ve no choice but to buy the whole spool. This is where the problem comes. I need a way to organize my scrapbooking ribbons.
Even though my collections is not that many, I don’t know how to store them. I just put them in a plastic bag and throw them in a storage box. Some of them become tangled with each other and they look very messy.
So, I went looking for ideas and I think this Ribbon Chest looks good. It has holes that you can put the ribbon through. You can buy this from Amazon at ~$30. Here’s my link if you’re interested 
Anyway, I also found some interesting ideas from this website. Yup, they created Ribbon Organizer Box for Scrapbookers. They show step by step how to create ribbon organizer from the box and I like the idea of using small shoe box and decorate it with patterned paper to create one. I’m thinking of doing this because it looks very simple. I’ve shoe boxes lying around in my house. All I need is beautiful wrapping papers to wrap it.
I’ve double holes punch so it’ll quite hard to create holes using it, so I’d need to get the single whole punch. Since I’ve a few boxes of different sizes, I might even create one for storing the eyelets and other embellishments. That’s a great idea for weekend and I could save myself some money by making this myself.
I’d also checked out you tube to see how other crafters store their ribbon and found this DIY ribbon storage video. Awesome idea
