Green campaign has been in the news a lot. I wonder if you ever think of a way to do your creative scrapbooking project and be green too. Well, you know, do it along the line of respecting the environment.

Scrapbooking is all about creative use of paper materials.

So, be environmentally friendly and do not simply throw away your scraps. You can recycle your scrapbooking paper for other project so always make it a habit to do this.

Recycle your scrapbook papers

Save the small stuffs that you get from special events and also from your day to day activities.

You can always creatively use them in your scrapbook. Wrappers are a good example as they normally have variety of colors and pattern that will add personality to your page.

Paper and magazine cutouts

I like to use magazine and newspaper cutouts for my project. I cut special dates, phrases and pictures too and use them for various themes like newborns, weddings and birthday. All you need is some creativity to play with these and create your unique piece.

Most of them are not acid free though. So it’ll be good idea to separate them from your photos or put some kind of protector to it.

It is easy to make scrapbooking your green project. Recycling materials from your daily lives and good use of papers are some of the actions that you can take to play your part in these environmentally friendly efforts.
